A new trick.

I am trying to post everything I want to show off before I have to go back to work next week (very sad!). Olive pulled her elephant WubbaNub out of her mouth by the tail when Mary Beth was holding her last week and held it that way for a long time. We all got a good laugh out of it! Doesn't she look proud of herself? In a nonchalant super cool way, like she expected nothing less. :)

First Trip to Iowa.

Olive had her first trip to Iowa for Valentine's Day and Jill's birthday weekend. We all had fun seeing family and Olive got to meet her Uncle Chris, Aunt Shannon, cousin Brynn, Great Aunt Kathy and Great Great Aunt Ruth Ann. And of course see some of her favorite people she had already met. After meeting all of them she met honorary Aunt Jenna (my college roommate) and her kids (Katelyn and Liam) and parents (Bill & Judy). It was a busy trip! And it became obvious when I got home I really should have spent more time with my new camera lens before using it to take such important pictures. I got a few good ones, but not my best by a long shot. Still happy I have some to remember the trip by. Olive got lots of gifts (and Jill did too, it was her birthday after all!). We are all so lucky to have all of you!

Brynn & Olive had their first shenanigans of many I'm sure.

Olive's room.

Here is a little glimpse at Olive's room. One of her favorite places for sure, she loves laying on her changing table and enjoys looking around at all of the things in her room. I got a new camera lens and was practicing with it taking some pictures before our trip to Iowa last weekend. We purchased a few new things on that trip so I'll have to get some room update pictures in the next few weeks, but here are a few shots of it.

2 months!

Olive is 2 months old today. Jill & I were talking this morning and it feels like she was just born yesterday but at the same time we can't even imagine or remember life before Olive. She has enhanced our lives in more ways than we could have ever dreamed. We are so lucky to have her as our daughter (and I know others feel the same way about Olive as their granddaughter, niece, great-granddaughter and great-niece). Another cold day (about -30 windchills) and wearing a cozy outfit from great-grandma for her 2 month birthday.

Here's a little side-by-side so you can see how much she has grown. Crazy, right?

And, speaking of the cold weather, Olive has been enjoying lots of handknits to stay warm. She's definitely the daughter of a knitter with lots of great knitting friends. :)

A little highlight of one of Olive's favorite places-her changing table. We have lots of talks, sing, dance and read books while Olive kicks her legs and waves her arms here.

Shots.

Olive had her first shots yesterday. She handled it pretty well, but had a little fever in the afternoon.

Luckily acetaminophen took care of it and she seems to be back to normal today. She weighed 10 pounds, 13 ounces with her cloth diaper on, so she is definitely a little over 10 pounds herself. Growing girl!

Had a bath this morning and then got bundled up to dry off. She likes bath time!
